All other reviews seem accurate. It leave black marks on my Corian and meat gets stuck behind the blade. But, the unit is very quiet and slices raw brisket like a champ. No need to semi freeze the meat as suggested. Was able to get almost paper thin slices with warm out of the smoker pork loin. Can’t wait to see how thin I will be able to slice cold meats. Will update as I use it more. This is one of two screws & nuts that connects the protecting cover of the food carrier – basically a splash guard.
